Alan LeRoy Anderson

Obituary

Alan LeRoy Anderson of Prescott, AZ passed peacefully on February 16, 2018. He joins his brother Jerry, and parents Don and Millie Anderson in paradise.
He was born July 21, 1938 in the small southern Utah town of Moab. He grew up and attended school in Salt Lake City. He joined the Utah Army National Guard; and worked as a butcher for a short time. In the early 1960's he moved with his young family to Nevada where he worked his way up from a change boy, to an executive in the casino industry. He managed casino's in Nevada, New Jersey, and the Bahamas.
He loved golf, laughter, friends, and family.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, SuAnn of Prescott, AZ; His children Rick (Pennee) Anderson, Annette (Joe) Helm, and Colleen (Art) Verling; his 7 grand-children: Joshua, Sarah, Jason, Joe, Matt, Dean, and Jackie; his great-grandchildren: Gavin, Greyson, Cali, Kai, and Joseph; his sisters-in-law: Wendy, Dawna, and Kaye; his nephews and nieces: Steve, Greg, Kathy, and Chris; and his furry buddy Sheena!
Alan was a man of tremendous humor. He was an old school gentleman…loving, kind, and committed to family and friends. A private Celebration of Life will follow his cremation.
